Add some Sparkle and Glamour to your Christmas with Festive Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Dublin
This week I had an early taste of the festive season and enjoyed a catch up with friends over at the five-star InterContinental Dublin’s infamous Festive Afternoon Tea. Afternoon Tea is one of the treats that I love most this time of year.
We had a chat with Nick the General Manager who told us about the fabulous Afternoon Tea Season at the hotel.
We enjoyed a sumptuous array of savoury delights and sweet treats created by the Hotel’s pastry chef Orna Larkin, in the cosy and luxurious surroundings the Reading Room.
We began with a selection of delicious finger sandwiches including Cranberry & Turkey on Brioche; Smoked Irish Salmon on Soda Bread and Dill Cream Cheese; Smoked Paprika & Egg Mayonnaise; Roast Ham and Dubliner Cheese on Multigrain bread and after enjoy fluffy Plain & Fruit Scones and a Pain D’Epice, a stunning gingerbread sponge bread served with Clotted Cream and homemade preserves.
Then, we indulged in an assortment of decadent Christmas desserts such as Orange Eggnog Pannacotta; Pear, Pineapple and Vanilla Mousse; and Dark Chocolate, Chilli and Passionfruit Entremet.
Festive Afternoon Tea was accompanied with our choice of loose teas or gourmet coffee or add to the celebrations with a well-deserved glass of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut Champagne or Blason Rosé Champagne.
And the price is surprisingly reasonable and will make an amazing early Christmas present at €65pp and if you want to go full luxury then the Champagne Festive Afternoon Tea starts from €80pp. Served daily from 12.00pm to 4.30pm from 1st to 31st of December 2022 excluding 24th, 25th and 26th December. Gluten Free, Vegan and Children’s Afternoon Teas are also available and should be booked in advance.
