OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AWAITS AT CASTLEROSSE PARK RESORT
I’ve come across some special offers at Castlerosse Park Resort in Kerry to tempt you to discover the breath-taking beauty of Killarney National Park. Autumn is a lovely time of the year to experience the park and its 25,000 acres of ecology, as the forest leaves turn a golden brown and the herds of red deer silent again after the battles and passions of the rutting season. Now is the time to getaway to enjoy beautiful crisp walks, mountain adventures and the splendour of the Park, whilst enjoying relaxing lounges, wholesome hearty food and all Castlerosse Park Resort has to offer.
For Autumn 2021, Castlerosse Park Resort, located on the shores of the lower lake and just a 30-minute walk away from Killarney town centre through the park, will remain open throughout November. The 120-bedroom hotel will be open from Thursday to Sunday and the 39 two-bedroom holiday homes and golf lodges will open throughout the week during November and in fact for the entire Winter season.
Throughout November, lunch, snack and dinner service will be available each day at Mulligan’s Bar &Lakeview – from 12 noon, last orders 8pm.
The Resort’s health and leisure club will be open with a 20m pool, sauna, jacuzzi and fully equipped gym with free of charge aqua aerobics (min 5 persons) and access to on-site personal trainer and fitness instructor (extra fee) Spa treatments are available from the Resort’s holistic therapist using her own range of organic handmade skin care products.
This November, golf is free to residents on the Resort’s 9 hole golf course and green fees are only €50 on the adjoining Killarney Golf & Fishing Club’s Mahony’s Point and Killeen golf courses. Bike hire available at the Resort for only €10 per day
Given the Resort’s location within the National Park, Castlerosse Park Resort is perfect for those visiting for adventure purposes. Walks to Ross Castle, Knockreer House and Killarney House & Gardens are all within walking distance from the Resort with scenic cycle routes throughout the Park, where visits to Muckross House and Torc Waterfall are highly recommended.
Mountain Adventure Walks
In addition, the Resort has teamed up with Mountain Adventure Walks (MAW), acclaimed father and daughter team Maurice and Madi Walshe, who provide all year round fun and adventurous hiking experiences in Kerry, to bring guests an invigorating mountain climb for those fit enough to take on the challenge. Guided climbs of Carrauntoohil have been scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays in November (subject to minimum number of 6 participants). Other guided walks are available to Mangerton, Seefin near Glenbeigh or take a recommended self-guided climb of Torc Mountain.
