In 2017 airlines recorded zero deaths on commercial aircrafts worldwide, making flying the safest mode of transport last year. So this is a good time to get your head around any fears that may linger. My advice if you are afraid of flying is to try hypnotherapy. How to avoid stress at the airport

• Don’t stress – Do be prepared and keep all your documents together.
• Don’t drink alcohol or energy drinks – Do drink lots of water especially on long flights
• Don’t forget to breathe –  Do put a blue dot on your phone to remember to do this
• Don’t worry about noises on the aircraft – Do ask your cabin crew for help if you are anxious or nervous
• Don’t miss out on the in-flight entertainment and it’s a great way to distract from the flight – Do change your watch to the time at your destination to adjust on a long haul flight
• Do focus on your destination and getting there – picture yourself on a beach or sun-lounger!
